Area of Expertise:

Jeramy Damborg (Senior Project Biologist, BCCF) has 16 years of experience working on a wide range of fisheries projects.  He has conceptualized and assisted in the design and implementation of various habitat compensation/restoration projects in both freshwater and marine environments, such as river side channel restoration, estuary restoration, mainstem large woody debris enhancement, intertidal and subtidal habitat creation, and riparian revegetation and protection.  In addition, he has been involved in salmon and steelhead fisheries stock assessment programs and has expertise in developing mark-recapture, electrofishing, and snorkel survey-based estimates of population abundance as well as juvenile trapping, capture, and tagging.  More recently he has been involved with a number of PIT tagging studies on both adult and juvenile salmon for stock assessment and research, which has included involvement in the Salish Sea Marine Survival Program, among others.  Mr. Damborg holds a B.Sc. (2005) and Technical Diploma (2002) in Fisheries and Aquaculture from Vancouver Island University and is competent in proposal development, project management, design, and implementation, as well as budget management and reporting.
